Digital Education Stakeholder Forum: Making education and training fit for the digital age

The European Commission has the pleasure to invite you to the first Digital Education Stakeholder Forum: Making education and training fit for the digital age, which will take place on 22 March 2022 (10:00-18:00 CET).

The Forum will be an online event, bringing together a diversity of stakeholders representing the political, practitioners, academic angle from of the digital education policy area across the private and public sector in Europe.

Together with stakeholders, the Forum aims to celebrate the achievements of the first year of implementation of the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027), and to reflect on the way forward in making education and training fit for the digital age.

The Stakeholder Forum will feature high-level speakers such as the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel, the Executive-Vice President Margrethe Vestager and the Vice-President Margaritis Schinas. Ministers of Education from the Presidency trio and Members of the European Parliament have also been invited. To ensure a dynamic and interactive event, the Forum will include a wide variety of formats ranging from pitching sessions, demonstrations of tools and frameworks, one-to-one interviews, panel discussions and Slido exercises.

In the afternoon, the Stakeholder Forum will break into three parallel blocks, and you will be able to choose to attend sessions on specific topics related to the digital education ecosystem, digital competences and the importance of cooperation for high-quality digital education. The sessions will cover a broad variety of topics such as supporting teachers for the digital transition, working together with the Educational technology (EdTech) sector and Artificial Intelligence in and for education.
