Following the panel at the Civil Society Week, EPA, alongside other organisations, contributed to the parallel sessions under Policy Pillars to Grassroots Reality, specifically Session 2 on “Local Learning Ecosystems,” which focused on the DECITEL project. A strong start to Civil Society Week reaffirming the importance of partnership, democratic resilience, and community-driven educational innovation begun on the 2nd march, 2026. The week began with a welcome and keynote address, after an open session was held in which EPA’s Project Coordinator Arja Krauchenberg moderated a high-level panel on Changing Narratives and Bridging Silos.The panel brought together a diverse group of prominent voices: Brigitte van den Berg (Member of the European Parliament, Renew Europe Group, CULT Committee), Claudio Dondi (Education Inspiring Peace Lab), Lauren Bond (OBESSU), Suzana Carp (Co-founder, ECIT), György Miklós (Szülői Hang – Hungary case), and Eszter Nagy (UEF).Through two dynamic rounds of discussion — From Policy to Reality: Building Democratic Resilience — speakers shared practical insights on strengthening democratic culture, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and translating policy commitments into meaningful local action.
