Tamara Lenes has joined the EPA office team in March 2019 and is currently responsible for project administration. The mother of three preschoolers holds a BSc in architecture from TU Wien, where she now works at the faculty of informatics. She is also active as a certified tourist guide in Vienna.
REPRESENTATIVE IN BELGIUM
She was born in 1969, is originally from Austria but has raised her three children while following her husband on diplomatic missions around Europe (Prague, The Hague, Luxembourg, Brussels). She used to work as an organization manager in her home country for seminars, workshops and conferences and has joined EPA as Brussels representative in 2019 attending meetings and participating in activities on behalf of the association. Her hobbies include porcelain painting, reading and hiking.
A mother of three she has lived abroad for almost twenty years and been actively involved in parents’ representation in the schools attended by her children. Upon return to Austria – her home country – she started to engage in the regional parents’ association and was later elected member of the board of the European Parents’ Association (EPA) where she served as president 2018-19 and is currently engaged as project coordinator. In 2019 she was elected vice-president of the LLLP (the Lifelong Learning Platform, a platform of 43 networks active in all fields of education). Trained as a linguist for romance languages she works as a tourist guide while still pursuing a teacher training course at Vienna University with a special focus on multilingualism, diversity and multicultural classes.
