Pioneering parent-led initiatives: Case studies in educational diversity. The Campus Rütli transformation: A blueprint for integrated urban education. Following a call for help in 2006, the Rütli School in Berlin-Neukölln (Rütlistraße, 12045 Berlin, https://campusruetli.de/) transformed from a high-risk secondary school (“problem school”) into a successful model project, the “Campus Rütli”. Designed since 2009 as a comprehensive school with full-day operations and integrated daycare centers and spaces for parents, it promotes learning through social support, team teaching, and networking.

The conference program promises an engaging lineup of insightful discussions, prominent
speakers, and collaborative sessions:
● Welcoming Remarks: Opening addresses will include contributions from EPA President Stefano Crico, bbt Leadership, the German Federal Minister for Education Karien Prien (invited), Cem Özdemir, Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg (invited) and Members of the German Parliament (invited).
● Keynote Addresses (confirmed): Aysun Dogmus (TU Berlin, confirmed) will deliver a highly anticipated keynote presentation on “Education in a diverse and digital society”. Prof. Dr. Jörg Fegert (Co-Chair of the European Commission Special Panel on Child Safety Online) Keynote address on child & adolescent mental health, digital resilience, and family well-being (confirmed)
● Expert Panel: Martin Pfafferott (Bertelsmann Foundation) will share his insights and join peers during our interactive expert panel session.
● Core Thematic Focuses: Community Engagement: Exploring actionable strategies to drive educational excellence through active community and parental involvement.
Multilingualism: Delving into language diversity featuring an invited contribution from the European Centre for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe, alongside specialized inputs from Rory Mc Daid from the Sirius Network / Sirius 3.0 project.

Workshop 1: Digital Parenting & Media Literacy
Navigating current challenges in the digital age. Connected to EPA’s digital literacy initiatives,
featuring external experts Jutta Croll (Stiftung Digitale Chancen) and David Mekkaoui (CEO, ALL DIGITAL).
Workshop 2: Migration, Inclusion & Parent Empowerment (German-Language Track)
Addressing local and regional challenges in educational equity. Led by bbt in connection with the MELA project.
Workshop 3: Citizenship Education in a Changing Europe
Fostering active participation and democratic values. Connected to EPA’s DeCiTel project, featuring external experts from the DARE Network (tbc).
Workshop 4: Well-being & Next Generation Parenting
Building resilient family and school environments. Insights and practical follow-up from EPA’s NextGenParenting and GrowWell projects (building on the outcomes of the Paris workshops).
12:00 – 12:30: Synthesis and Conclusions
12:30 – 14:00: Networking Lunch at the venue – student catering by pupils of the Stötzner School in Berlin Reinickendorf
14:30 – 17:30: EPA Statutory General Assembly (same location as morning - Vertretung des Landes Baden-Württemberg beim Bund, Tiergartenstraße 15, 10785 Berlin)
19:30: Optional Farewell Dinner for those remaining in the city
