Dear friends and members,
First of all let, me wish you all a happy, healthy and joyful New Year. Despite the difficulties due to the further development of the pandemic I hope that you’ve had some well deserved rest during the holidays and are looking forward to our upcoming events and cooperation.

As you may already have seen from our social media, the Media Literacy for Parents project is nearing its end and we would like to invite you to the final conference that will take f2f in Brussels and online on Monday, 31 January 2022. The consortium will not only present the results of the project, especially the Guide for Parents, but there will also be a panel discussion with a representative of the European Commission (DG EAC) – have a look at the invitation  including the agenda. There is some funding available so that we can offer to support travelling by € 200 if you would like to join the event in presence. Please indicate your interest in the comments’ section of the registration form. Members who would like to participate online should also register and tick the box accordingly.

Furthermore we  would like to draw your attention to an upcoming webinar by the OECD on How learning continued during the COVID19 pandemic that will take place on 25th January at 15:00 CET and will focus on the innovations in education that emerged during the crisis documented by the OECD, the World Bank, Harvard’s Global Education Innovation Initiative and HundrED drawing some lessons from these fast-paced responses to reimagine a post-pandemic version of education. Looking back at the LLL Week that took place from 29 November to 3 December 2021 and dealt with the overarching LLLP annual theme The changing nature of evaluation in education and its impact on learners’ well-being  providing insights to the diverse forms of assessment and their relation to well-being, you can find the accompanying position paper at this link, watch all the webinars that were held during the #LLLWeek2021 on Youtube including the EPA event on Well-being and Media Literacy for parents and families, featuring Dr. Margaret Korosec from Derby University and her colleague Dr. Yasuhiro Kotera, as well as all the resources that were shared.

EU initiative Pathways to School Success
EPA has participated in the public consultation process of the initiative that will eventually lead to a Council recommendation. You can find our position paper here and the results of the consultation on the EC website.

Erasmus+ New calls for forward looking projects 2022
EACEA has held an online info session on 18 January 2022 regarding the new calls for Erasmus+ forward looking projects, presenting the 3 lots and 6 priorities under which application is possible. If you have an idea for a project that falls in line with the indications of the call you can watch the registration of the info day Here.
