Representing Parents in Europe: the First 30 Years – Invitation
The European Parents’ Association is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year. Our November conference, taking place in the EU Presidency country, Luxembourg is aiming at taking stock of the state of play and highlighting some of the areas to be developed in the field of parental involvement.
In our event we will revisit the past 30 years, present the results of two recent Europe-wide surveys on parental involvement with special focus on the achievements of the past 15 years, adopt a Manifesto about the direction of parents representation for the years to come and give the floor to our members to share their experiences and try to find answers to our questions. Our keynote speakers are going to call the attention to the importance of good cooperation between parents and school heads, multilingualism as a solution to a number of crises in our education systems and playfulness in the school and the family as a means of supporting learning.

The jubilee conference is hosted by FAPEL Luxembourg and supported by the Luxembourgish Presidency of the European Union, the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth of Luxembourg.

Due to the busy programme of the Luxembourgish Presidency and the high number of hotel rooms used for it, EPA can only assist you with booking your accommodation if you register by 15 September.
Early bird registration until 15 September:
EUR 125 per person for a maximum of 3 representatives of full members, 2 representatives of associate members and 1 representative of affiliate members
EUR 140 per person for non-members and additional participants of member, including partners
Early bird registration includes accommodation for the night of Friday, 27thNovember.
If you register until the early bird deadline, you can also book extra nights for EUR 100 single and EUR 115 double.
Normal registration with self-organised accommodation until 31 October:
EUR 50 per person for a maximum of 3 representatives of full members, 2 representatives of associate members and 1 representative of affiliate members
