Dear EPA members and friends,
I hope you are all well and safe at home in this difficult situation in Europe. It is time to take care of our families, friends and communities.
In the EPA Board, we think that in the situation that we are living it is even more necessary to support and help parents in their role as educators of their children. We have already published in the EPA webpage some news and we are adapting our webpage to share useful materials in an efficient way.
In this context, the potential of EPA as a big network of European parents is more important than ever. I think we are ready to work together to support any parent in any country of Europe. It is our duty and we have the expertise for it. We are sure that in some of your associations you have already promoted initiatives and published materials (guides, tips for parents, etc.) to help parents to face this situation. We kindly ask you to share them with us in order to publish them in our webpage and disseminate them via the social networks. Also, if any association has any special need at this moment please let us know in order to try to help you as much as possible.
As we announced to you in the first newsletter of the year, we have started the process to define the EPA Strategic Plan 2021-2025. The first step was to send you an online survey that would be the input for the workshop scheduled during our April GA. Although the GA has been postponed, the survey is available in the link at the end of this newsletter. Now we have time to think about it and to fix some goals for the future could be a joyful prospect in this difficult situation. It seems to be quite clear that things can’t and won’t go on as they’ve been before so it might be an appropriate moment to think about what we want for the future and especially the future of our children. We are very interested in collecting your ideas on how parents see their role and the role of parents’ representation. We will analyse your feedback and prepare a first working document.
