After a number of discussions in meetings and workshops the General Assembly in Copenhagen/Denmark passed the resolution on the right of parents in the educational systems. It refers to the need for the individual to interact with school on behalf of the interest of the child.

Parents` associations on all levels from school to regional, national, and European level (EPA) have been existing for decades and proven their positive effect – as voice of the individual parents as well as as stakeholders in the educational system. The EPA resolution considers the need of individual representatives on all levels on the bisis of a voluntary mandate that requires the acceptance by an employer.
