Rūta Krasauskienė
Vice-President

Rūta Krasauskienė is an experienced educational leader with over two decades of expertise in school management, national education policy, and international cooperation. She currently serves as Director of Vilnius Žirmūnai Gymnasium and is Vice President of the European Parents’ Association.
From 2020 to 2024, Rūta was Director of the National Education Agency of Lithuania, where she led a team of more than 360 professionals in implementing national education policy. She oversaw curriculum reform, assessment systems, and the advancement of inclusive education while introducing quality management frameworks such as ISO and LEAN.
Previously, as Principal of Vilnius Žemyna Gymnasium for 17 years, she transformed the school into a modern, innovative learning environment and built strong partnerships with local and international stakeholders. Rūta has also contributed to higher education as a lecturer in arts education management.
Recognized with national and municipal awards for her leadership, Rūta is passionate about lifelong learning, inclusive education, and empowering teachers, students, and parents to co-create better futures in education.
