Stefano Crico

Vice-President

Stefano Crico was born and is still leaving in Milano (Italy). He is married with five children. His life is full of family and work occupations, and besides that he has been involved in many different endeavours intended to improve the quality of life for people with a special focus to the support of families (children, parents, grand-parents).

He is currently Treasurer of the European Parents’ Association (EPA) since 2024, leading the organisation’s overall financial governance and strategy. He is responsible for budgeting, day-to-day accounting, financial planning, and balancing costs with revenue to ensure EPA’s long-term stability. His role includes aligning EPA’s financial operations with EU grant requirements and the association’s strategic priorities. Actively involved with EPA since 2010, he has contributed to financial oversight and capacity-building across multiple mandates. He previously served as EPA Vice-President and Board Member from 2013 to 2016, before being re-elected to the Board in 2023. Over the years, he successfully introduced enhanced financial monitoring systems, structured budgeting processes, and advanced forecasting models to strengthen compliance with EU funding rules.

He has also coordinated financial management in several EU-funded projects, ensuring robust governance and alignment with project objectives. Holding a Master’s degree in Nuclear & Electronics Engineering, he brings decades of international professional experience inside and outside the EU. His expertise spans financial planning, risk management, multi-currency budgeting, compliance, and stakeholder liaison in complex multi-country projects. He has applied these skills across diverse fields, including digitalisation, inclusion, parenting, and work-life balance, demonstrating both technical and strategic leadership. After following specific training courses on parenting and family enrichment he has worked together with his wife in FAES (one of the founding members of EPA) as an active member, promoting the cultural and personal development of Parents as the primary authors and actors of the educational promotion of their children.
